This homemade naan pizza recipe is a brilliant way to use up leftover naan. Naan bread makes an excellent base for pizza, and if you already have the naan, it comes together in 15 minutes flat! It's a very customizable, kid-friendly snack that you just can't go wrong with!
Spread the pizza sauce generously all over the individual naan pieces.
Arrange a layer of sliced onions and tomatoes over the sauce.
Drizzle the olive oil on the onions and tomatoes.
Sprinkle the mozzarella and chilli flakes if using.
Arrange the naans on a baking tray.
Place the baking tray on the middle rack of a preheated oven (400 F) and bake for 3 minutes.
Switch to the broil setting (high) on your oven and broil the pizza for 2 minutes or until the edges get slightly charred and the cheese gets browned slightly.
Take out the baking tray and sprinkle the dried or fresh herbs on the top.
Notes
Keep an eye on the pizza while broiling it because the pizza can get charred quite easily. As soon as you see the cheese browning up slightly, take it out of the oven.
Sprinkle a little parmesan along with mozzarella to add more flavor. Mozzarella can be a little lacking in flavor.
The chilli flakes are optional, but don't skip the extra virgin olive oil. It adds tons of flavor and punch to the pizza.
